  • Long time, no post

Wow. I've been reading through my old entries. I haven't written anything in here for two years. I guess that hiatus from xanga never ended until now. I've posted on livejournal, but blogging is not in my everyday routine, so I haven't blogged anywhere for a very long time. Maybe I'll start using this thing again...just for summer. It'll be nice to blog and pitilessly bore whoever even reads this thing. Yeah. Maybe I should get back to my pointless, randomly written blogs.

  • it's been a long time since i last updated....yes (i've been posting on livejournal more). i'm now fifteen, except the other day i answered "fourteen" when asked my age...hmm. what else?

Oh yes. school. I don't know if I'll be able to get that A in Freed's class. In first quarter, I ended with a solid B. uh-oh. I have A's in all my other classes so far, but I'm also freaked out about my AP Euro grade too. I got a 5 on my DBQ, and I think that really dragged my grade down. GAH!! it would help if she made printouts of our grade.

I'm looking forward to Christmas with great anticipation although I'll be spending Christmas Eve on the plane back to Taiwan and Christmas vacation full of homework assignments. Ah well. Vacation is good. I have my piano recital next week, and I'm totally dreading it. I sincerely hope I won't have some random memory slip that day, or else I'll have to spend the rest of the day listening to my mom ramble on about how I don't practice enough. If three hours is not enough for her, I have no idea what I'm going to do. I do hope I don't catch some form of flu this year. I've gotten sick every visit to Taiwan. Last year, I got the stomach flu cause some stupid, disgusting, unsanitary resteraunt had cockroaches flying around it. Seriously... I saw this piece of hair like thing sticking out of my cup, thought it was a piece of hair, reached to take it out, pulled the "piece of hair" out only to find that it was the antennae of a cockroach. EW. gross.*shudders*

hah. maybe this year'll be better.

  • oh....school....oh....dear....

To start off, my language arts teacher, Mrs. Freed scares the crap out of me. I hate how she rolls her eyes and make a face to the class if someone gives an answer she doesn't like to hear. I think she's freaked everyone out. Nobody really raises their hands to answer questions anymore. I hate how she would tell the whole class that your writing is "trash" and how "trashy" writing is unacceptable in her class. UGH. Can anyone be more critically blunt?

Spanish is beyond boring. Senora Wexler has the same pattern of doing things everyday, making it terribly hard to sit thorugh an hour and a half of Spanish nonsense. I like how the class is super easy, though. Obviously. =D It's the one class where I won't be worrying about my grades, although she gives out the most tedious homework assignments. I liked Senora Siskind's teaching style so much better.

And on to...CHEMISTRY! Mr. Wada is awesome and he also happens to be one of my favorite teachers. I can't believe I have to switch to Jackel for Chem. next semester! I have absolutely no respect for boring teachers who ramble on and on, and I am hoping that Jackel's not the type to do that. Chemestry has the coolest lab experiements!! OMGOOSH today we put a piece of magnesium ribbon in the fire and watched as the thing just completely lit up and was burning so brightly you couldn't look at it directly. Good stuff. Very cool. Kept me HIGHLY amused.

Symphonic Orchestra...0________0. Mr. Steele is a very stern teacher, though I have yet to figure out why he never buttons up the first two buttons of his shirt. -_- Anyways, he's seating the violins tomorrow and I'm prepared for the back of second violins seating due to my EXECRABLE audition. -_-

AHA! A.P. European History is not as hard as I anticipated it to be. We're not given much homework for the time being. Despite her blue-greenish eyeshadow she puts on everyday, Ms. Peck is a cool teacher, and I really like her. It's just kind of weird how she emphasizes certain words in the middle of the sentences while talking at random times.

ANYWAYS. that is all for now.

  • School started, and I am stressed out. Symphonic orchestra audition seatings are on Monday. We have three days to learn some piece of music by Tchaikovsky that's like SEVEN MINUTES long. -_- well....we'll see where that goes on Monday, won't we? If worst comes to worst, at least I was in symphonic orchestra for a day, right? ._.

So...the workload has been ok so far. Not too stressful yet. I like all my teachers, so that's always a plus. The classes I'm most concerned would be Hon. Brit. Lit, and A.P European History. There's going to be sooo much writing and reading...I'm going to pass out after hyper ventilating. I ESPECIALLY HATE TIMED ESSAYS/WRITING. -_- and teachers really do enjoy watching students freak out over what to write in their limited half an hour. I honestly believe that we provide amusing entertainment for teachers.

anyways. i'll update later. its late. i should be getting to bed.
